Mykola Berkatyuk—a professor of stage speech at Dnipro Art College, director, and mentor who has dedicated his life to theater and his students—celebrates his 70th birthday.
He has decades of experience in the arts. But his greatest achievement, according to his students and colleagues, is the people he has taught to listen to the stage, work with words, and not be afraid to be authentic.
For many students, their path to the profession began with his classes. He taught not just speech techniques, but how to think, feel, and live every line. Because the stage, Mykola Berkatyuk is convinced, does not tolerate insincerity.
Directing, teaching, and a constant search—all of this has become his life’s work. And today, he remains a man who inspires young people to love the theater and respect the arts.
